About Me

I am currently a PhD student at UNC Chapel Hill working with Mohit Bansal and Snigdha Chaturvedi. My broad interests are in narrative generation and visualisation. I worked as an Applied Scientist on NLP at Amazon from 2017-2021. Previously, I had worked as a Research Staff Member with Prof.Venkatesh Babu's lab in Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India, working on machine learning and computer vision.

I received my M.S in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California in 2015. At USC, my degree emphasized on Machine Learning and Signal Processing.

I obtained B.E degree in Electrical Engineering from RVCE in 2013. During my B.E, I was a computer vision research intern at ADE.

Research Interests

My broad interests are in narrative generation and visualisation. Previously my research interests covered machine learning and deep learning applied to computer vision. In particular, I am interested in generalized object detection (cross-depiction), colorization of scenes, learning strategies for deep learning, hierarchical deep networks, deep-ensembles and dense object counting.
